Spotlight 59: Paper Photo is coming back

Never has so much been instax_imagesphotographed as in recent years, reports ‘photo scala’, an international magazine for photography.  However, the vast majority of images remain in digital storage and are usually shown on a electronic display. Now it seems that the paper image is making a comeback. More and more people are taking photos in the ‘analog’ way, preferably with an instant camera, such as an Instax Camera from Fujifilm. A press release published by Amazon US refers to this year’s Christmas business.Accordingly, the most ordered photo product was the “Fujifilm Instax Mini instant film Twin Pack”. But not only has analog instant photography become a trend, also the classic photo paper print is experiencing a renaissance. This is shown in figures reported by the British business consultancy Future Source Consulting, who report that the number of consumers ordering photo prints or other photo products from their smart phone has doubled.
